Xolani Design
Xolani Mayikana designs and manufactures pieces inspired by South African culture, reflecting the modern world in commercial and ramp pieces. His "Proudly South African Designs" uses modern materials and stones.
Xolani is self motivated and passionate about jewellery he feels he contributes in making people feel beautiful, confident and admirable with his jewellery pieces. He loves to make people happy and to bring a smile to their faces when they see the end result of his work.
Xolani's aim is to grow as an independent South African and international jeweller and to have a successful jewellery design and manufacturing company. He wants to open a jewellery school to develop South African talent. Xolani believes that 2010 will give him the platform to showcase his proudly South African jewellery designs. Taking part in local and international exhibitions will be the voice and advertising platforms to grow his jewellery designs and outshine the standard of South African jewellery art.
Xolani was a finalist at Jewellex 2006 / 2007 and a top 50 finalist for the 2005 Anglo Gold Ashanti competition. His work has been exhibited at the Woman's World Cup of Golf at Sun City and the Design Indaba in Cape Town in 2008, and at the TUR Exhibition in 2007.
