There are no specific personality traits for jewellery designers. However, one must have a passion for the profession, the art, and be teachable in order to unleash your creativity within. With that as a starting point, one can learn everything while getting trained.

A sense of design is a must. Accuracy and attention to detail are also very important for one to be a successful jeweller, so is creativity, imagination and a technically sound mind.

Basic knowledge about manufacturing trends in the fashion industry both local and internationally are an added but valuable advantage. How else would you know what the market wants, or to create a brand that will start a great demand for your designs! Most importantly, understanding trends will help you as the emerging designer.
