Jewel Odyssey Projects

Charné van der Merwe's jewellery is decorative and has an antique feel to it. Each piece has its own identity because of the textures applied. Surfaces are decorated with different textures like granulation, roll-printings, patinations of different colours, reticulated surfaces or inlays of contrasting metals.

Charné loves working with her hands and her goals are to use the skills that she has gained, be successful in what she does, to be a leading manufacturing jeweller and designer and grow into a big recognizable brand

She will achieve growth by taking care and fully understanding her clients needs, to deliver consistent service excellence and client satisfaction, to supply her clients with top quality jewellery products and build lasting trust relationships with honesty and integrity.

Charné has participated in TUT's annual jewellery exhibition at the Association of Arts, Pretoria, where her pieces where up for sale. She also entered the 2006 PlatAfrica Jewellery design and Manufacturing Competition, student category. Her pieces were used in the fashion show.
